Mt. Si

On November 23rd we headed out to Mount Si. The day was absolutely perfect for a hike, crystal clear with mild temperatures down at sea level. As we hiked further up the winds started blowing, soon snow was at our feet and we were wishing we had gloves, never the less, we had a great time and got to take in some fabulous views, especially considering it was late November in the Pacific Northwest.

On November 1st We headed out to Squak Mountain. It was a drizzly day but we had a nice time never the less. We when we returned home we were welcomed by the rich smells of the warm stew that awaited us in the crock pot... some one (Rachael) was thinkin' ahead :-)

Portland

From Oct. 24th to the 26th, Rachael & I spent the weekend in Portland, OR. We didn't take a lot of photos until we got to the Rose Gardens, after all, we were far to busy, eating and drinking to have time for pictures :-)

('click' the photo for the rest of the album)

We headed out to Rattlesnake Lake in early September, we spent some time by the lake, hiked up to Rattlesnake Ridge, then wandered down the Iron Horse Trail for a while. All in all, we walked/hiked about 14 miles. On the way home we stopped at the Issaquah Brew House for some grub and beer... it was a good day.

Hansen Creek

We headed out to Hansen Creek in late August for some rock hunting. Once again, we took Lola along. It was fun. This time we beat the foul weather... it started to rain and thunder just as we were leaving. Our 'bounty' can be seen in the final photos.
